Second skin
This project is a speculative design piece focused on an ecosystem that is struggling due to high UV exposure. In order to find ways to survive, we studied reptiles and their ability to withstand extreme heat. Using biomimicry, we developed a new protective layer for human skin as well as a self-generated biodegradable material that can be used to construct structures, architecture, and shields for the environment.
